Erik Martinek is a full time musician/performer in Downtown Nashville. After leaving music school at 20 years old, Erik began playing hundreds of gigs a year living off a tip bucket and immersed himself in the nightlife scene. At the age of 23, Erik decided that it was time to begin a new creative direction. “CANYON LAND” was born out of basement studio in Nashville to create a unique blend of pop music using experimental song forms and lofi production. Completely independent, Erik has funded his new project from the long gigs playing into the early hours of the morning.
